About Us
The idea for PKJ started with a terrible moving experience. We hired last-minute movers who showed up with a tiny van that could not fit a single mattress, handled our furniture so roughly they splintered a shelf, and then tried to charge us an extra $200 on top of the original quote. We sent them home and knew Toronto deserved something better.
Justin brought years of hands-on work in landscaping, construction, and water-damage repair, but missed the direct connection with the client on big jobs. Karine brought deep experience in customer service for a home-sharing company, where she saw firsthand how stressful it was for landlords and tenants to deal with move-ins, move-outs, and damages. Together, we built PKJ Home Services to bridge that gap and support both sides.

PKJ stands for Pacheco, Karine, and Justin. We’re partners in life and in business, and we wanted a name that reflects our personal accountability. It also sounds like “package” – a fun reminder that we handle contents packing and offer a package-style, all-in-one service.
We didn’t start this just to make money. We started PKJ because we’re two young people in Toronto who have lived the stress of moving, renovating, and starting over.
Life already hands out enough lemons. Our job is to turn this particular part of your life into a cold, fresh glass of lemonade.
